New Format for Reflection & Anticipation in May

Dear Church Family,

As we’ve been listening, reading and thinking through the book of Revelation together over these past few months, I’ve been encouraged by the conversations I’ve had at home and with many of you about how God has been at work through these scriptures in important ways:

Perhaps you’ve examined some assumptions about Revelation that you were taught in childhood or absorbed over the years and had your gospel imagination stretched in the process.

Perhaps you’ve been encouraged to view the realities of evil and instability and the suffering they cause with the perspective that comes from orienting our lives around the throne of God and the invincible kingdom of Jesus.

Maybe you’re seeking new ways to celebrate the goodness of the gospel and the community that is rooted in Jesus’ victory over sin and death.

Maybe you’ve been given the gift of repentance about some obsessions that claim the attention of our hearts and promise life apart from Jesus.

Maybe you’ve been given the gift of clinging to God’s promises in the midst of suffering.

In the month of May, I’m excited to share some interviews with people in our congregation as they talk about how they’ve been challenged and encouraged by engaging with the scriptures. I hope that as we share what God is doing in our lives, we will be drawn to worship and dependence on the majesty of the Father, the beauty of the Son and kindness of the Holy Spirit.

With Love,

Beth Harvin
